On 1 March 2025, it will be 45 years since A&D Motorcycles Ltd started trading in Denbigh, North Wales.  Established by Alan Shepherd in 1980 in the now Sams Cafe, the business continues to be run as a family business to this day.

To celebrate this momentous milestone, we are having an anniversary party and want you to join us.

As well as marking the new 25 registration, we shall be offering test rides on a range of bikes, including the Royal Enfield Bear, Kawasaki Ninja 1100SX, Moto Guzzi Mandello and Suzuki GSXS1000GX.  There will be a raffle and many exclusive giveaways.

In attendance will be our Brand Ambassadors, Tommy for Kawasaki, Ade and Martin for Royal Enfield and Steve for Moto Guzzi.  Also present, will be representatives of ROSPA, NWAM, BikeSafe and Mental Health Motorbike.

Our workshop will be open for you to speak with our technicians, and they will be offering general advice and showing the latest diagnostic equipment.

Do you have any pictures of bikes you purchased from us over the years?  We would love you to send them to us so we can add you to our anniversary wall.  They can be sent to us by email sales@admotorcycles.co.uk or WhatsApp 07496 452561.

If you have any questions or ideas how we can celebrate this huge achievement, then please let us know.  We shall be updating our socials with more information as we get it.

01745 815105 Spencer Trading Estate, Denbigh, LL16 5TQ

We at A&D Motorcycles would like to wish you all a Happy New Year.  As we get 2025 underway here at the Dealership, we are also forming our plans for the coming months.

WHAT’S GOING ON?
So far this year we have attended Manufacturer’s meetings for both Piaggio and Kawasaki, with Suzuki at the end of the month.  We were updated on the latest news on models and promotions (keep a close eye on our social media and website), with proposed delivery dates.

UPCOMING EVENTS
Once again, this year we are gearing up for ride-out events with our fantastic brand ambassadors for Moto Guzzi/Royal Enfield/Kawasaki and we are also proposing some A&D dedicated meet ups/open nights.

One big date this year will be 1 March and we need your help to make this date special.  On 1 March 2025, we will have achieved 45 years in business.  We are reaching out to ask anyone who has bought a bike from us over the years to search out any photos of you and your bike to make you part of our celebrations. Any thoughts on how best to mark what we think is a fabulous achievement, so thinking caps on and get involved.

HOME GROWN TALENT
January has again seen Cal (one of our technicians) jet off to warmer climates to get some track time in preparation for a second year on the pocket rocket Kawasaki ZX4-RR.  It will be fingers crossed for May when the season gets underway at Oulton Park and hopefully a taste of champagne.

NEWSLETTER – DECEMBER 2024

Thank you once again for all your support throughout 2024. It was great to see so many people through our doors.

Despite the unpredictable weather, 2024 has been another busy year and we have had many highlights.

KAWASAKI

Kawasaki continue to lead the way with their model range. They produced 40th Anniversary versions of the ZX-10R, ZX-6R and ZX-4RR, which were inspired by the championship-winning ZX-7, accurately reproducing the original colour scheme, with the blue being newly created.

Also recapturing their heritage was the launch of 40th anniversary editions of the Ninja 1000 SX and Ninja 650. Inspired by the 1985 GPZ900R the two tone Firecrack Red and Ebony colours were used, with the silver line separating them to match the brightness of the original.

New for 2025 will be the Versys 1100 family, Ninja 1100 SX family and Z900. We will be expecting demonstrators, so contact us to register your interest.

ROYAL ENFIELD

Royal Enfield continued their dominance in the mid-range sector. Launched this year, the Himalayan 450 came in two variances, tubed and tubeless with the Hanle Black being the most popular.

The Shotgun 650 and Bullet 350 were also new additions and were well received. Launched in the Autumn was the Guerilla 450. Royal Enfield kindly supplied all their dealers with a demonstrator of this bike and a lot of customers took advantage of this.

Newly launched models for 2025 are the Bear 650 and Classic 650. Colours have been announced for both models.

The One Ride Event in September was well attended and we are hoping to have more Royal Enfield events in 2025.

PIAGGIO GROUP

Another good year with Piaggio with interest still high in the Mandello and the newly launched Stelvio. The Tuareg was one of our most popular bikes for test ride after some fantastic reviews on-line. The new RS457 was very well received and was especially popular among new riders.

Looking forward to 2025 there are some limited editions Stelvio and Mandello. The newly launched Vespa GTS310 and GTS125. Aprilia will also be launching Tuono 457 and Tuareg Rally. Pricing is yet to be confirmed, but we shall let you know as soon as we hear anything.

SUZUKI

Suzuki had new models this year including the new GSX-S1000 GX and GSX-8R. The GSX-8R came in some stunning colour options and was crowned Sportsbike of the Year by MCN this year. “The GSX-8R is sublime” with the test praising its blend of genuine sporting prowess and comfort and usability.

Announced at EICMA were the eagerly anticipated DRZ-400S and DRZ-400 SM. Expected in showrooms in the summer and no price announcements as yet. If Suzuki get the price of this bike right, we are sure it will be a huge success.

AFTER SALES

We are extremely proud of Jake and Matty who both became Accredited Technicians through Kawasaki this year. This is a fantastic achievement. Calum also completed his accreditation with Suzuki and is now working towards the final year of his apprenticeship.

We are delighted to announce we have recently been appointed as dealers for Quad Lock. With prices starting from £15.99 this is an exciting new product on the market. We will be offering demonstrations in the New Year.

We are now Moto Girl’s only North Wales Dealer and are looking forward to their new merchandise launches next year.

This year we have also welcomed Connah and Kieran to our AfterSales Team.

GENERAL

We would like to thank our Brand Ambassadors who go above and beyond with their support – Tommy Aston (Kawasaki), Ade Nicholson and Martin Lucas (Royal Enfield) Steve Gwatkin (Moto Guzzi). We are hoping to arrange ride-outs and exclusive events. If you have any suggestions, please let us know.

On 1 March 2025, A&D Motorcycles Ltd will be celebrating 45 years of trading. Launched by Alan in 1980, in the now Sams Café. Do you have any photos of bikes purchased over the years? Please let us know as we would love to create an A&D History wall in the shop.

Special thanks to all of our team at A&D Motorcycles Ltd, without them we could not offer you high standards of customer service. We shall be closed from 5 pm Monday 23 December 2024 until 8:30 am Thursday 2 January 2025.

WE WISH YOU A MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A SAFE AND HAPPY NEW YEAR – SEE YOU NEXT YEAR

Royal Enfield City Tour Denbigh

A&D welcomes you to join our demo event on Saturday 15th June!

NEWSLETTER – DECEMBER 2023

Thank you to everyone who has visited our showroom and supported us throughout 2023.

2023 has been a very busy and exciting year for us and here is an overview with some of our highlights.

KAWASAKI

Kawasaki was as popular as ever with the Ninja 1000 SX and Z900 RS SE being the stand out models. They offered some good promotions which included accessories and boost up support.

We had a very interesting Kawasaki Dealer Demo Day in July. One we will never forget – keys anyone!?! The event eventually took place in August and was well received with a good number of test rides. We have heard Kawasaki plan on continuing this into 2024, so we will keep you updated.

The ZX-4RR was launched in the Autumn, and there was much excitement of the launch of this inline 4 and we had a great evening showcasing the bike.

Models to look forward to in 2024 will be the Eliminator 500, Z 7 Hybrid, EV range and the limited edition Anniversary Models.

ROYAL ENFIELD

The Hunter 350 and Super Meteor arrived at our showroom this year. The Hunter 350 was well received with the Dapper Grey being the most popular choice.

We participated in the Royal Enfield One Ride Event with a great turnout despite the weather not being on our side. Special thanks to Ade and Martin for their support with this. We are hoping to carry out more again next year.

New models for 2024 include the Himalayan 450, Shotgun 650 and Bullet 350, with the Himalayan expected late February, just in time for the March 24 registration.

SUZUKI

New arrivals into our showroom this year were the VStrom 800 DE and RE, along with a welcome return to the scooter market, with the relaunch of the Address and Burgman 125. The GSX-8S was also a new addition. Suzuki offered the most competitive finance offers. Offering an APR of 2.9% on selected models which is continuing into the New Year, along with £500 off the GSX-R125 and GSX-S125.

There is a huge excitement about the all new GSX-S1000 GX and GSX-8R. Both expected in our showrooms early 2024, with demonstrators being made available.

MOTO GUZZI

Our biggest selling bike this year has been the V100 Mandello S, which has seen a lot of new customer’s attracted to the brand. It was also the bike which received the most test rides throughout the year. The Tuareg still proved popular along with the RS660 Extrema.

2024 will see the introduction of the highly anticipated Stelvio, which is expected late March. We are sure many of you will be looking forward to test ride this bike. Aprilia have announced the RS457 for 2024, which is expected late Spring. Pricing is yet to be confirmed, but we shall let you know as soon as we have this information.

AFTERSALES

Our Aftersales Department was very busy this year. Work has been very varied from normal annual services to a re-build on a race bike ZX-6R. This is a 2017 model and we are replacing all of the bearings, swinging arm and frame ready for the start of the new race season. We have also been involved in several roller conversions on Moto Guzzi 1200 motors.

At the start of 2023 we offered a promotion on Akrapovic end cans for V4s which included race mapping. Another introduction has been the new Oxford Pro Heated Grips. They have an integrated control switch and we are continuing this promotion into the New Year at £250 fitted.

After being a long term customer, we welcomed Ceri into our Service and Parts Department. She is a great addition to our team.

Shark introduced the I3, which is the first helmet with integrated brake lights. They are currently on display in our showroom and start from £249.99.

New for 2023 has been the introduction of Suzuki Activated Warranty. Once the manufacturer’s warranty has lapsed, as long as your bike receives a service in line with the service schedule, you will receive an additional 12 months warranty, up to the bike being 7 years old.

Once again thank you for your support and also many thanks to all of our team for their hardwork throughout the year. We shall be closed from Sunday 24 December 2023 and reopen Tuesday 2 January 2024.

WE WISH YOU A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A SAFE AND HAPPY NEW YEAR – SEE YOU NEXT YEAR.

Thank you to all of our customers who have visited us and supported us throughout 2022.

2022 has been an interesting year and it is great to still see such interest and enthusiasm about motorcycling.  The introduction of new models by some manufacturers has sparked huge interest including the Suzuki GSXS1000 GT, Royal Enfield Scram and Classic 350, Aprilia Tuareg and the range of 50th Anniversary models from Kawasaki.

We held three test ride events this year – Kawasaki, Suzuki and Royal Enfield – which were a great success with over 200 of you having the opportunity to test ride one of their bikes.  This is something we are hoping to continue into 2023.

We have ended the year with some exciting models for next year including the long awaited V100 Mandello by Moto Guzzi, the new GTS 300 and 125 by Vespa and the Royal Enfield Hunter 350.

Once again we did experience stock shortages and delays but remain positive for next year.  As well as the Mandello and Vespas, there will be the introduction of the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650, Suzuki GSX-S8, V-Strom 800 DE, and a range of scooters from Suzuki.  We also received the good news that the Z900 RS SE will form part of Kawasaki’s range.

We had a great year in our After Sales Department.  Many of our customers allowed us to help with accessorising their bikes and we are now suppliers of SC Project Exhausts.  Our Clothing Department had a revamp and we were able expand our product range with Richa and Alpine Stars.

Thank you once again for all your loyalty this year and we would like to wish you all a fantastic Christmas and safe and joyous New Year.

What a fantastic day 1 September 2022 was for A&D Motorcycles Ltd with the new 72 Registrations off to a flying start.

With customers old and new, a varied selection of bikes were collected.  From the Kawasaki Z900 50th Anniversary, Moto Guzzi V85, Suzuki GSXS1000 GT and SV650, Royal Enfield Interceptor, Classic 350 and Scram, Aprilia Tuono Factory 660 and Tuono V4.

Here are a few pictures from the day.

Huge thanks to all of our customers and a special thanks to all of our team, who’s hard work ensured the day was a great success.

As you know we can get any accessory for any bike.

We have had two great examples recently with new Kawasakis – the Z900 and Z900 RS.

The Z900 RS in Metallic Dark Green was fitted with a full Delkevic 4 into 4 system, looking like the original Z.  The sound is just awesome.

At our customer’s request the Z900 2022 model was fitted with lime green wheels instead of the standard black wheels and was upgraded to a Performance Edition.  This included the Akrapovic Carbon Exhaust, rear seat cowl and screen.  Then our customer requested HEL Performance Brake Lines.  HEL don’t actually produce Brake Lines for the Z900, but we were able to send them the originals and they made them specifically for our customer’s bike.  To finish off it was fitted with an R&G Tail Tidy.

So as you can see we don’t just do standard bikes.  We can do anything to suit your taste and budget

We would like to thank all of our customers, old and new, for their continued support through what has been an uncertain year. 2021 has certainly brought many challenges for everyone. Who would have thought we would still be suffering the effects of Covid nearly two years later.

We have encountered stock shortages from the majority of our manufacturer’s due to covid, Brexit, the suez canal and chip shortages. You really couldn’t write it!

2021 also had many positives. Many returned to biking and there was also interest in the 125s with many people including young and old alike wanting to become part of our industry. Our best sellers of the year, included the Ninja 1000 SX, Vulcan 650, Meteor 350 and the RS660. We enter 2022 with a sense of optimism. A vaccine and booster has been created. There have been some exciting reveals from all of our manufacturers, including the Z900 RS SE, GSXS1000-GT, V100 Mandello, Tuareg 660, Classic 350. So we have much to look forward to.

We would like to wish you and all of your families a very Merry Christmas and a peaceful New Year. We look forward to welcoming you back to our showrooms in 2022.

WE ARE OPEN AND WANT TO MAKE YOU FEEL SAFE WITH US

OPTIMAL PERFORMANCE

Fired by the same spirit, Suzuki’s development team tested and tuned each component to create a compact, lightweight chassis that is engineered to provide agility, ease of control and a fun-to-ride character.

GREAT ROAD HANDLING PERFORMANCE

The twin-spar aluminium alloy frame is engineered to provide nimble handling and great road holding performance. The frame’s main tubes are designed to run straight from the steering head to the swingarm pivot. This is ideal for achieving both high rigidity and low weight. Designed using the latest FEM analysis technology, the frame weighs about the same as the current GSX-R1000.

COMFORTABLE SEAT AND SLIM BODYWORK

The sleek two-tone seat is comfortable, and the seat strap provides the passenger with a good grip. The seat height of 825mm provides comfort and allows riders to plant their feet on the ground when stopped. The slim design where the seat meets the fuel tank also helps make it easy for the rider’s feet to reach the ground.

FULLY ADJUSTABLE FORKS

The Ø43mm KYB inverted front forks provide 120mm of stroke for a sporty yet plush ride. The forks feature fully adjustable damping, rebound, compression and spring pre-load. BREMBO RADIAL BRAKES

Brembo radial mount monobloc front brake calipers are mated with Ø310mm floating-mount dual discs to provide powerful braking performance. Each caliper has four opposing Ø32mm pistons. The front brake calipers are same type used on the current GSX-R1000. The Antilock Brake System monitors wheel speed 50 times per wheel rotation, and matches stopping power to available traction.
